Give customer service a call. Vonage can certainly provide you with a new device. They may or may not charge you for it, but it's certainly worth asking.

I don't know about how things are in India, but the most common addressing used in US customer installations is dynamic. It's the default mode for Vonage devices and it works fine.

The voltage that you've specified is the input voltage that you want to use. The requirement on the adapter is that it supply 12 volts DC at 1 amp to the router.

I assume that you're using dynamic addressing (DHCP). Make sure that the subnet address range being assigned by the RT31P2 is different from the range being assigned by the wireless router.
