I don't think that Vonage gives you access to the ATA box. What border router do you have? You could look at SNMP there, if it supports it.

I currently don't get any sales calls on my Vonage line. I'm thinking about moving my original Pacbell phone number to my Vonage line, and I'm wondering if I'll start getting the sales calls then?

The commands are the same across the router platforms, so it'll be the same whether it's a 2600 or 1600.

The 2600 definitely supports DHCP. Here's the config from my Cisco router:

ip dhcp pool CLIENT
network 10.7.7.0 255.255.255.0
default-router 10.7.7.1
dns-server 10.7.7 ...

Why not turn on DHCP on the 2600 and just have it use an address range that's not being used by devices with static IP's (I'm guessing you don't have 256 hosts active)? That'd simplify things a lot, ...
