Plug your computer into the router rather than the Vonage box. While the arrangement you have SHOULD work, plugging your computer into the router will solve the problem.

After moving the TA to the new location, it went about a month before hanging again. I have to believe it is defective.

I'll try moving it to see if insulating it from the Internet traffic helps.
