Having trouble configuring the softphone / SIP settings on Nokia N95 Phone? Well look no further than the vonage-forum.com/ftopic20941.html">step-by-step guide in the forums.

Geewiz vonage-forum.com/ftopic22763.html">noticed after switching from Verizon to Vonage that his Verizon line went offline and calls were going to his Verizon voicemail.
So the question is, 'How long does it take forum poster 'Geewiz' to port a number from Verizon to Vonage?'
A) Approximately 10 days
B) Never. Verizon will hold the phone number hostage forever.
C) Quicker than Geewiz thought, because 'Geewiz' accidentally connected his Verizon landline to his Vonage V-Portal.

Answer is usually 'A' but in this case it's 'C'. Geewiz takes it all in stride though when he writes, "SO, when I called my landline, there was no phone connected and it went - eventually - into the Verizon voicemail. DUH! Let that be a lesson to all of you! vonage-forum.com/modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" border="0">"

One poster ponders "vonage-forum.com/ftopic22725.html">Is it safe to go back to Vonage?" after experiencing problems with Comcast messing up his Vonage service. This sparked a two pager in the forums due to the known issues of Comcast messing with VoIP packets. Now that Comcast has agreed to stop messing with VoIP packets maybe it is indeed time for Comcast users to reconsider/consider switching to Vonage.
