A new Vonage subscriber with a cool Darth Vader avatar posts his first thread titled, 'New subscriber here - anything important I should know?'. Several Vonage Forum regulars gave him a nice warm welcome and gave him some tips about the DD-WRT router, QoS, and Vonage alpha. Hmm, Vonage works on one ISP but not another? That's odd. Head on over to the forums to check out the thread.

Another user has an issue getting V-Portal to work on his Mac. The answer may be as simply as cloning the MAC (Media Access Control) address of his Mac. You need to configure the MAC address of your Mac? I'm getting confused. ; ) Confused too? Go check out the thread.

In the News
It was revealed that Vonage spent more than $204,000 in the first quarter lobbying on telecommunications regulation. Since when is spending hundreds of thousands of dollars lobbying Congress good news? Vonage spent a good chunk of that change lobbying for legislation to ensure that users of VoIP services can access emergency 911 services, according to the report filed with the House clerk's office April 16.
