Vonage VoIP Forum Digest - February 27, 2008

Vonage VoIP Forum Digest

February 27, 2008

By Daniel Connor

Welcome to today's edition of the Vonage Voip Forum Digest..

As for today, we'll first catch up with some Vonage news. Then we are going to go straight to two Vonage Forum threads, one with questions about an adapter used with Vonage and look here's another thread which deals with router resets and what information could be lost in that process. Then we'll check on Vonage's stock price.

In The News

Vonage Announces Integration With Leading CRM Platform

CRM ASP, the market leading SAAS (Software-As-A-Service) CRM (Customer Relationship Management)  provider with over 75,000 companies, today announced the availability of Vonage Voip services fully integrated in the CRM platform. Available today, Vonage integration brings small businesses full integration with Free CRM and CRM ASP licensed products, providing one-click calling and automating phone dialing and outbound sales campaigns with Vonage.

Businesses can realize tremendous cost savings and reduce complexity by taking advantage of Vonage Voip services integrated within the FreeCRM.com product. FreeCRM.comis now the first to integrate Vonage Voip services directly within the CRM system.

"The new generation of software-as-a-service companies like CRM ASP and FreeCRM.com is ushering in the new era of integrated telecommunications and software," said Eric Stone, CEO of CRM ASP, Inc., parent company to FreeCRM.com. "Now SMBs have access to a fully integrated Voip system in Vonage, providing tremendous cost savings for inbound and outbound call automation. The opportunity for small and medium sized businesses to take advantage of tremendous cost savings with Vonage Voip services coupled with our web-based, on-demand CRM platform is a winning combination.

On The Vonage Voip Forum

Here's a new Vonage Forum thread which carries the name of, Linksys RT31P2 ATA. This thread is started by Vonage Forum Member stuart0939.

Here's what stuart0939 has written:

"I have a Linksys RT31P2 ATA . It is two or three years old. After coming back from a trip, it apparently no longer works. My cable internet works fine when I take out the ATA and connect the modem directly to the ethernet port on my PC. I have tried re-booting, hitting the reset button on the ATA many times. When the ATA is hooked up, my internet or phone service will not work. Recently, before the current problem, I had notice phone calls disconnecting while I was talking on the phone. I am wondering if my ATA was going bad and now is totally bad.

"Any thoughts? I would like to ensure this is the case before purchasing another ATA.

"If I have to buy a new one, where is the best place if I don't get one from Vonage directly."

The next post on this thread is an answer from fellow Vonage Forum Member trekologer.

"Make sure that you have the correct power supply connected to your RT31P2," trekologer writes. "Using an incorrect power supply can cause a variety of problems. The power output on the power supply should be 12VDC 1A. If you have the correct power supply, when plugged in do you get any of the lights turn on? If none go on, either the device or the power supply is definitely dead."

Now we move on to a Vonage Forum thread called, Data after reset router. Deciding to start up this thread is Vonage Forum Member samuelmf.

He writes:

"I want to now if before to perform a reset on a Vonage router there are any dates with the user account information, right? So if i perform a reset on the router I will lose all my account information and configurations. This is right?"

Steve48, who is our most frequent poster here with almost 4,350 Vonage Forum posts, adds to his impressive collection by posting this answer to samuelmf's question:

"You won't lose account information," Steve48 writes. "You will lose any special network setups that you've done for your system."

Vonage Stock Report

Once again, our Vonage Stock Forum can be reached from this link.

That's what's hot about Vonage today. Check with us for our next edition of the Vonage Voip Forum Digest.
