Welcome to today's edition of the Vonage VoIP Forum Digest.

News is a little slow today, so we will go straight to the Vonage VoIP forum where a member has started a new thread on voice mail. We shall conclude with the stock market update for Vonage as usual.

In The Vonage VoIP Forum

Laureltn the Vonage Forum Master began a new thread titled, 'Voice Mail Not Picking Up in 615.'

He put up his problem as, "Just lost voice mail. Phone rings the number of times you have selected and then just goes dead. Of course that's lovely on a business line. Anybody else having a problem? I just reset the router and still have the same problem."

Maryjane replied, "810 aera, Can't retrieve voicemail's via using phone, line just goes to dead air."

Laureltn at this replied, "Nobody can leave me one so I can't tell if I'd be able to retreive it or not. Been on hold for about 5 to 10 minutes trying to get support. will update whatever i hear once i get through!"

Maryjane said, "Could be my ips connection, I'm going to reboot then do a speed test...see what's up."

Laureltn after speaking to the customer care said, "Just spoke with customer care. Voice mail is down, no eta for when it will be back up. asked again for the option of email notification of failure of a critical service. i would love to receive an email if voice mail is down so i can transfer my calls to my cell phone or do something to be sure my clients don't get dead air after three rings."

Maryjane said providing the VoIP test report, "my test's seem to be fine: Speed test statistics --------------------- Download speed: 9566816 bps Upload speed: 2487840 bps Quality of service: 92 % Download test type: socket Upload test type: socket Maximum download pause: 75 ms Average download pause: 4 ms Minimum round trip time to server: 55 ms Average round trip time to server: 74 ms VoIP test statistics -------------------- Jitter: you --> server: 4.3 ms Jitter: server --> you: 8.5 ms Packet loss: you --> server: 0.0 % Packet loss: server --> you: 0.0 % Packet discards: 0.0 % Packets out of order: 0.0 % Number of supported VoIP lines: 42 Estimated MOS score: 4.0 So voicemail must be down in the 810 aera also, thank goodness I have an answering machine to turn on......Voicemail is One feature that is a must for me."

Darrell_G replied to Laureltn, "I'm also in the 615 area and I'm having issues listening to voice-mails via the phone. When I try to check for the new voice-mail, theres nothing but dead air. On the otherhand, I did receive the e-mail notification with audio file attached."

Maryjane the Vonage Forum Evangelist said, "You can forward your calls to go directly to your cell phone on your account page, That way your cell can take the voicemail. I just disabled my voicemail and turned on my phone systems answering machine. Lets hope they get this figured out soon."

Laureltn finally concluded saying, "It's back up! Darrell, that's great your callers could leave the message. I never get too worked up if i can't check the VM from the phone because I get the audio via email. but when they can't leave one or get my outgoing message, that's bad. I'm glad the outage is over!"

Vonage Stock Report

On Monday, at the New York stock market, Vonage stock closed at $3.09 per share, which is a dip of 0.03 cents (0.96%) from Friday's closing price, $3.12 per share. The lowest price for the day was $3.03 a share and the total number of Vonage share traded was, 675,100.
