Your receiver calls them, and I don't think Dish cares exactly what number your receiver calls in on. [edit: They do care where the number is from, tho, as in location of number.] I have never had any receiver hooked up to the phone number dish has, and PPV has always worked fine for 6 years/multiple receivers. Whether it works or not seems to be dependent on whether the receiver and Dish can establish an acceptable modem connection - affected by things like quality settings, whether its a Moto VT or Linksys, the ISP's capabilities, etc. They claim they *don't want* VoIP users receivers to be able to call in because they can't determine the true location of the call/receiver, thus VoIP is "not supported", then destroy their own argument by letting you order over the Internet for a service fee, without a clue where you are originating the order from. What difference does it make that a box is 2 receivers, if it cant call in even if it were a single receiver? In my opinion, both are just another way for nickel-and-dimeing Charlie to make more money. When I tried to (twice) make a trouble report for * and # lockout on predial on the 921 the techs told me they are intentionally locking * out on new receivers so we cant use *99 predial to improve the likelihood of a successful modem connection. That's more like negative support than no support. Good luck gelli786! edited: for clarity, toned down, and got my dates wrong - shouldn't write stuff late at night :)

Dish Network DVR & Vonage

I'm fairly new to Vonage but have been lurking in this forum for a while doing some
I have the Dishnet 501 (Tivo equivalent) receiver and it works fine with the dialout
Also, the dishnet guide is downloaded off the satellite-not your phone connection.
You only need the phone line to purchase pay-per-view.
Vonage is working great on my Comcast 3MB/s connection. However, my Dish PVR cannot
If you have a 5xx series Dish DVR, I had great success with enabling the "wireless
The problem lies with the newer recievers like the 322 where you have to have it
I am also having problems with my Dish Network receivers. my DVR 522 trys to call
Same problem with my 322. My understanding is that Vonage is sending a different
Weird, because we have 2 dish 322s and they're both on different lines, never had
