Vonage You can't have 2 phone numbers on different adapters at the same time. As they try

You can't have 2 phone numbers on different adapters at the same time. As they try to authenticate with the server it will have issues and won't let them register. You can purchase an adapter at any local retailer such as target, kmart, walmart, circuit city, best buy - and the list goes on. Don't let the salesperson talk you into an expensive device like a wireless unless you are in need of one. You should be able to find one for about 40-50 dollars. Also, don't sign anything with them as you might be signing up for a new account (that you certainly don't need). Once you get the new adapter, activate it by going to vonage.com and there is a link on the first page to activate a device. When that is done, simply add a cheap phone # to the port and plug your security into that. Another option would be to move your current phone # to the new adapter then 1. use a splitter - one to a phone (you won't be able to use the IP-8100) and the other to the security. or 2. Plug the line into your home wiring and you will be able to plug your security into any of the jacks in your house.

Newbie question on how to physically connect a fax machine

Steve, yes the VTech is one of the Vonage VOIP phone sets. I was thinking about what
Oh, and SORRY about using Newbie in the topic title!!!
Yes, you would need a new adapter. If your current VTech is plugged into the modem
This sound kinda like what I am trying to do. I need a "Phone Line" for my alarm. But
