Vonage Reviews

Vonage Yes they are working on E911 just like every other VOIP provider, but Vonage is

Yes they are working on E911 just like every other Voip provider, but Vonage is the ONLY one that has slowed down adding new features. Most if not all Voip providers I have looked at have cheaper service, ACR, call blocking, and some even have the wifi phones that Vonage is still testing already in production. They even have calling to many other countries as free and unlimited calling as well. All others even allow byod supporting sip.

Seems the only one that new features have been holding up on is on Vonage doesn't seem to affect the others. Vonage used to be the leader but they are not the leader anymore all the other Voip companies are getting caught up and now are passing Vonage and leaving them behind.

Even cell phones are being released with wifi access, so Voange is missing the boat on that one. I just bought a i930 and with that I can put in a sd wifi card and go wifi off my cell phone. So now I get to decide if i buy the 10 buck softphone and only get 500 minutes or just switch to another provider that support sips and have unlimited calling, ACR, call blocking, ect all the things Vonage doesn't have. SO far the only thing I am waiting for is a local exchange on one of the others have only checked a few out and only checked for local exchanges on one of them.

No I never said they all had E911, just said they all have ACR, DND, calling to 20+ countries included free....Cheaper service and cheaper options. I just stated even though EVERY Voip is working on E911 the only one that has stopped dead in its tracks is Vonage. Other providers even have the Wifi phone out which was being first released by Vonage as press releases say, even after other provider actually have it as an option it is no where to be seen from Vonage all you get from Vonage is being delayed 3 months at a time.
Now they even have it out for CELL phones before Vonage even has it out. I would tend to think building it into a phone that never had it or supplying sd cards to access Voip would be harder than making it work with sip on an existing network...

And before anyone comments yes I am a Network Engineer. Also the wifi phone does and will work with sofphone option as well but they wont even release it for that.

But now why buy thier wifi when you can start getting it on your cell phone than only one phone to carry and one battery to worry about. Everyone complains about ACR, call blocking and have for atleast a year and Voange is the only company that hasn't listened to its clients all the other implement it and have it working.
