Yes, guess I have that expert "thorw". <grin>
I would love to do your next suggestion that but it don't work with Vonage. I tried it with Vonage before I ever bought the first cordless. When I hooked it into my Vonage thing, I got a dial tone but no matter how many buttons I pushed, I still got a dial tone. My calls would not go thorugh.
That is the only time that I got to talk to a live person in support and they told me that if it never worked, it would not work in a wall jack either. I did not argue with him but knew he was wrong because I had been using it. He told me to take everything out and start like I was just hooking up my Vonage for the first time. I did. It still never worked. So....I then put it back in my Wall jack and that was when the touchtone no longer worked. I had planned on using this phone with Vonage.
I borrowed a phone from my friend to make sure that Vonage was working, and it was. It just does not like my phone.
Thanks anyway for your great suggestions. I like this board and knowing there is help just a few keys away.
Now if I could get my 911 thing fixed, and get me a new cordless for my Vonage, I would be all set. My 911 goes to a non emergency number instead of an emergency number. Any suggestions?
