Yes. I use Vonage only over a high speed wireless. My experience is a whole 2 weeks or so, but does include high winds, terrific rains etc.
First comment is that I have not noticed the weather to have any kind of consistent affect on my calls.
The real issue is QoS. I get pauses. Some can be over a second long when QoS is under 10 or so. This is terrifically variable and I can't see any patterns to it. Not weather, not time of day, just the mood of my router I guess.
Best to get a Voip weather forecast at http://www.testyourvoip.com/ before dialing. A test score under 3 or so means a strained connection. Okay for calling the mother-in-law, but not a new client.
I do use Run, Command, Tracert and have found a fairly consistent timed out just beyond my gateway address. I've discussed this with my ISP (Ralcomm.com who cover a patch of Alberta just south of
Edmonton) and they are looking into it.
As a side issue, wireless means rural addresses for the first time for Vonage. This seems to defeat their automatic 911 system. How do you enter 'second left turn on the Pelican Point road then the third right'? Customer service is trying to puzzle this out.
