Yes I did unplug from the outside world at the phone box outside. I have the PAP2 in our computer room with a splitter plugged into the wall and another phone, then 2 cordless phone headunits and then 2 regular caller ID phones. That would be 5 phones in all. I'll try unplugging everything and try 1 phone at a time until the ringer goes short. Thanks for the help.
