Yeah, I investigated that all before signing up again. I had an ongoing email "conversaton" with Vonage regarding what happens if I do have DSL on the line. Now I know! I had Vonage since 2003 so we could call France cheap then "free" as part of the unlimited plan. I cancelled it because I couldn't justify the expense of the land-line and Vonage. I had a Vonage fax line too but could never send or receive (mostly receive) faxes. Support couldn't help either. I tried it with 2 different machines. After discovering that I could indeed get the dry loop I'm back. I also recently transferred my office over to Vonage. That was easy because we have a regular fax line that has the DSL on it. It'll stay since we share it with another company.
