Whether or not a call to your phone is considered long distance isn't dependant on Vonage, but on phone company and plan of whoever is calling you. If Vonage doesn't have a number available in your local exchange, or in the exchange of those who are calling you, you can always opt to pick up an 800 number service. This is very affordable, just an additional $4.99/mo with 100 incoming minutes, additional minutes are billed at 3.9 cents/min.
