Well, you are right about the lack of details on the web site. It does say a grounded three-prong connection, but the picture on the site shows a two-prong plug, and the one I have has a two-prong plug. If your outlet has a different form factor, then you would need to supply an adapter-plug.
And I can't tell you what exactly the replacement power supply would be, since I have not yet ordered one myself. I just assumed it would be the same. It would certainly have to have similar output specs. So far I have not yet run the disk drive, since I am using the power adapter for my phone router. I may look around here to see if I can find one for less $$.
So here's the specs on the power adapter that came with the Maxtor drive (which I bought online in the States last December).
Brand: DVE switching power supply (made in China)
Model: DSA-0421S-122 36
Input: 100-240V 50/60 Hz 1.2A
Output: DC+12V 3A
(The original Linksys RTP300 power adapter is only rated 1A output, so this one is probably overkill. But it doesn't hurt to have some extra capacity.)
