Vonage Well, the "fail to run" is somewhat concerning but I don't really have a good answer

Well, the "fail to run" is somewhat concerning but I don't really have a good answer for that.

The first thing I would do is reduce the bandwidth saver to 30Kbps (G.729) and see if it sounds better. If you have any firewalls on your computer I would also make sure the V-Phone is allowed and possibly disable it.

If your router has an SPI firewall I would consider disabling it temporarily to see if it makes a difference and possibly trying a DMZ. (Yes this is bad security so you don't want to leave it).

It seems like your bandwidth or throughput is low despite your 4.8 Mbps connection. See if you can find the source of the slow down and maybe test your internet connection to make sure your are getting what you think.

If everything comes back good, there may be a problem with your device.
