Well, ok...now here's the bad news...that's exactly what my first RT31P2 did. Network and phone would both disconnect randomly at the same time, at least once every couple of hours and sometimes 2-3 times an hour. I called and they tried firmware updates, blah blah blah...they finally sent me a replacement (overnight FedEx, but only after I asked them to). The good news is that the replacement hasn't rebooted once. So...sounds like maybe you have a bad router on your hands...not what you wanted to hear, but resolvable with some patience. And, apparently, you do have plenty of patience.
