Well I determined what was going on, but not sure how to fix it.

I've been using a VT1005 with two active lines. The line on the first port just stopping callerid to my phones. The phone on the second line has always been passing callerID to it's phone. I was thinking somehow Vonage had provisioned the one line wrong some how.

I had a Linksys PAP2 in the closet I hadn't used so I added/moved the line assigned to the VT1005 on the second port over to the PAP2. It worked fine. I think took the line assigned to the first port of the VT1005 and moved it to the second port of the VT1005. CallerID came through everytime. So the line that wasn't working when on Port 1 is not working on Port 2 for inbound CallerID.

So the net issue is that for some reason Port 1 of the VT1005 is not passing callerID on to the phone. I used the web access for the box to see if there was any option to set or reset that functionaility. There is none for callerID but you can do a general reset, which I did. But it made no difference.

So I've got one line going to Port 2 of the VT1005 and one line going to port 1 of the PAP2 and both are working great. If anyone knows how to do a hard reset for the VT1005, otherwise I run with two contollers or both both lines over to the PAP2. Any thoughts on use two vs one controller? I'm thinking if I stay with two I can always take one number with me when I travel.
