Vonage We've switched the ISP from Cox cable to AT&T U-verse, and are having an issue.

We've switched the ISP from Cox cable to AT&T U-verse, and are having an issue. I'm hoping anybody has an idea on how to fix...

We have a 2Wire gateway for U-Verse and Linksys Vonage adapter. An ethernet port from 2wire gateway is connected to WAN port of Linksys. A couple of PC's are connected to ethernet ports of Linksys. A couple of other PC's are connected to ethernet ports of 2Wire gateway router, and those PC's work just fine. Phones work just fine as well.

However, we're having a problem with the PC's connected to Linksys. We don't have the internet connection on those PC's after they are started. We have to re-start (power off and then back on) the Linksys in order for those PC's to get connected. And if those PC's are re-started, we have to re-start the Linksys again.

All of the two routers' settings are default ones. I'm not savvy at all on networking, but I believe it is usually best to make the second router a switch (disable DHCP and connect it to the main router via the normal ports, not via the Uplink/WAN port.) However, I think such a set up will not work for the Vonage phones? (WAN port needs to be used on the Vonage adapter, correct?)
How can I make this work without the glitch of constantly having to re-start the linksys...? I'd really appreciate an advice!

Some more details are below.

1. Location: San Diego, CA
2. ISP: AT&T U-verse
3. Upload and download speeds
4. Modem: 2Wire 3800HGV-B
5. Vonage adapter: Linksys WRP54G-VR
6. Network set up: Modem (router) -> Vonage adapter -> PC
7. internet access from behind Vonage adapter (router)
8. Voip test:

Try turning off the DHCP Proxy (not server, Proxy) on the Linksys WRTP54G. Then,
I disabled DNS proxy on the linksys, and that seems to have done it! trekologer,
Good to hear!
I'm glad the suggestion above fixed your problem. It didn't work for me. To make
HotCookCpl, Your point is a good one. Just b/c it worked for one case doesn't
