We've had Vonage for 1 1/2 years with absolutely NO problems. We love it. But this week the computer started being unable to connect to the internet. It would connect for a couple minutes and then disconnect for quite awhile. We tested EVERYTHING, even calling Charter Internet for help. The Charter modem was fine, and each time they reset it, the computer would connect for a few minutes and then disconnect for quite a while. I unplugged everything, cleaned the dust from everything, hooked it back up. The computer wouldn't connect at all. Finally I disconnected the Vonage modem completely from the Charter modem and computer. Now the internet stays connected and everything works perfectly - except of course our phone. :cry:
I wonder if our Vonage modem has gone bad? What is the life length of a modem? I haven't called Vonage support yet, because I can NEVER understand the people who man the phones. :roll:
