We've been using Vonage since December 2004 and have been very satisfied (4 out of 5 stars). While the service has been near perfect most of the time, we've also been patient during the few glitches (i.e. two 2 to 4 day periods of time when the service/VM was down or erratic) knowing that we're saving >$450/yr over POTS.

Like some of the other posters, I'm a bit wary of Vonage's no-nerds, plug and play marketing. Initially configuring our home network took a bit of puttering to get rock solid.

My biggest fear? That the feds/states etc. screw up a good thing with regulations/taxes.
