We are having constant issues with making Vonage work consistently. Since we installed the service 6 months ago many of our calls (day or night) start fine but over the course of the call one party or both's audio will simply disappear. Sometimes it is brief and returns but most times you find yourself yelling "hello...hello" into the phone until you hear the cell phone ringing. (most of our friends have either learned that trick or Vonage is forwarding - not alway sure which.) I have taken the wireless router from between the cable router and the Vonage box. I have reduced the bandwidth as far as it will go and haven't seen any noticable change (thank goodness because Normal sounds horrible). The last thing that I have left to do is to move all my equipment around to accommodate a peculiar requirement that the Vonage modem needs to be 4 ft away from every other device (which is not easy to do without having a rats nest of wires running everywhere.) I am hoping you all can shed some light on this whole situation. Here are my specs: (Before I forget - Vonage Modem's interner indicator light does constantly flicker - not sure if that is a sign of something. I have not seen any postings on it.) Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
