Vonage has me running Ping Plotter to check the status of my broadband connection. We're trying to resolve two problems.

1) about roughly 20% of all "outbound" calls have no outbound audio. So the person answering at the other end does not hear me. I recently switched over to port 2 on the RT31P2.

2) when calling most cell phones the ring tone that I hear goes from low to loud and becomes distorted. In other words the ring starts out low and gets quite loud and sounds distorted as it swing from low to loud. Very annoying when you're hold the phone to your ear while waiting for the person to pick up.

I just made my fourth call to Vonage and am getting frustrated.

On to Ping Plotter. All seems to look okay but there is one obvious point that sticks out and I'm not sure where this likely problem points to.

My router is the first item my computer hits, then it goes to the Linksys adapter then to the cable modem. The graph shows the first ping at my router and does not show any pings at the Linksys adapter or cable modem (although I can ping them or access them via an IP). I would think you'd at least see a ping at the Linksys adapter.

Anyway, right after the ping to my router there is 100% packet loss at hop #2 shown on the graph. Well, as I listed above I see that hop #2 would be the Linksys router. I may be wrong. There is no IP listed for hop #2.

The thought is we're looking for packet loss to show interuption in the service.

I see you have your graph set for 10 minutes. If you are going to run PP for a long time,
