I do not have any POTS at this point though I do have a DSL line in the house (in addition to cable). Neither ATA is wired into my house wiring though I had my old ATA186 wired into another house for years without issue. The issue seems to be voltage fluctuations using the two line phone and sensitivity of the VDV21 - specifically all was fine for about 9 months with this setup until a couple days ago. My old ATA186 burned out during rolling blackouts before I had all my devices on a couple large UPSs which has been the case since I switched to the VDV21. Thanks, Tim
