Vonage Verizon DSL does use PPoE which is built in to your modem. Your modem is acting as

Verizon DSL does use PPoE which is built in to your modem. Your modem is acting as router now which is handing out local private ips. you can call verizon and get PPoE info and setup that on dlink vwr so it will disable the router function and then dlink will do the router job. you can also ask verizon to help you put the westel in bridge mode which will make it as modem only so you can setup ppoe on dlink vwr. dlink vwr may/may not work behind modem/router device.
