My parents are in Nashville too, Franklin to be precise. They are paying for the 6 meg upgrade. Even with the computer plugged directly into the Moto SB 5100 they can only get a max of 4 based on what the latest comcast tech said. Personally I've never been able to get more than 2.7....at least within the past 3 months.
Comcast blows it off saying the speed is up to 6 megs, not promised. But I think they are lying or just don't know jack. They've tested my cable lines and say they are perfect. Any ideas. They've got vonage and an Apple Airport router, but even with them unplugged the problem persists.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
