To use Vonage, you will need a Vonage phone adapter. You need it so that you can plug your phone into the phone adapter. A regular old wireless router doesn't have a place to plug a phone in nor is it configured to work with Vonage.
You can buy a Linksys PAP2 at a retail store if they are still available. They are a little outdated now but a lot of people still use them. That could plug into your existing router, assuming you have an Ethernet port available. If you order service directly from Vonage, they will probably send you an RTP300 router. This is a router with a bult in phone adapter but it is not wireless. However, many people on this forum have been able to use both a wireless router and the RTP300 together.
There is also a Vonage wireless router available, the Linksys WRTP54G. This can be bought a retail store (like Circuit City or Best Buy). I don't believe Vonage is shipping them direclty, at least they weren't the last time I checked. This would probably be the easiest configuration as it will only require one device as you'd be eliminating your existing router.
