To IPCop, the Vonage adapter should be just another device. If your computer can get Internet access in IPCop, the RTP300 should be able to, as well.

Plug the Vonage adapter's WAN/Internet port to one of the ports that your IPCop server serves up Internet connections to, and it should work. The RTP300 does not require FORWARDED ports, only OPEN ones.

The RTP300 should probably be set to "Obtain an IP Address Automatically" (using DHCP).

Here is a two-router diagram. In your case, the "Primary Router" is the IPCop machine, and the "Vonage Router" is your RTP300. I assume you have a separate switch plugged into the IPCop machine to give you multiple ports?

If you can get IPCop to issue the RTP300 a fixed IP address, then you can administer it from your LAN without having to plug a computer into it. However, it's actually pretty rare to have to log into a Vonage RTP300 once you relegate it to Vonage duty only, so just plug it in and treat it like a Vonage adapter, and don't use the LAN ports in it.
