This post is to state the many things I have tried to get my Vonage connection to work, to no avail. I have tried my Vonage set up with three different routers, to include a Linksys BEFW11S4 Ver. 4, D link Model : DIR-615 and the Uniden UIP1869V.

Now lets get down to the skinny,

Here is the speed test Vonage gave me.

DL: 2.72 MBPS
UP: 199 KBPS
QoS: 69%
RTT: 200 ms
MP: 189

My set up has looked like this

Modem > Linksys BEFW11S4 Ver. 4 > UNIDEN UIP1869

Modem > Dlink DIR-615 > UNIDEN UIP1869

Now I will tell you I can not use the UNIDEN UIP1869 as my router due the fact it will not let me have a PPPoE connection with a DNS 1 and 2 which is required for my internet connection.

With every set up I have tried I can get uniden UIP1869 to work and get a dial tone, I can even sent and receive calls as well. BUT
before the 2 minute mark the call will drop, every single call sent or received. I have tried everything I can think of to make this work, from port forwarding to DMZing the UNIDEN UIP1969.

If anyone has any ideas before I cancel this Vonage account and start returning all this stuff i bought please feel free to let me know.

• your band width seems to be low, try adjusting the band width to normal.
• Ive tried it on all three settings.
