This is the second day i've had Vonage service. I was referred by a friend who swears by this. So far, it's been a nightmare, and based on some things i've read here, i'm dreading having to deal with customer service. I"m sure this is addressed somewhere on the forums, but i've looked around 2 hours and haven't found an exact answer. Here's my setup. Time Warner Cable->Webster modem->Linksys WRT54GS wireless router-> RT31P2->Uniden Power Max 5.8GHz phone I had a dial tone out of the box within 15 minutes of moving things around. THe sound quality is kickass, and the dashboard is sweet. but... Anytime i do anything on the internet, whether pull up a site or download something, the power light on the phone adapter continues to blink until i unplug it. As soon as i unplug it and plug it back in, it works within 30 seconds, and there's a dial tone. I had to "power cycle" this 8!! times yesterday evening. I've read through the forum, and have no idea what QOS or anything like that is. I have the quality set to the highest possible. Another thing, i can connect to my wireless router with no problems, but I can't ping, or connect, to the phone adapter. Can someone either link, or explain in detail, what i can do. I"m so close to cancelling this already.
