Given all of the problems reported in that thread, I'm a little concerned about the integrity of the Version 5 firmware, but I will be a dutiful little soldier and manually reset my router back to factory settings (again) and disable wireless (as suggested in the above thread), then leave it unplugged for 10 minutes, then press hte reset button to attempt to force the Version 5 firmware and see what happens. If it works, great. If not, I'll call tech support and have them reflash the router with .62 again and disable future firmware updates.

I'll keep you posted.

I tried to get a different device today was told that becuase my current device can be made to work (see next) they cannot replace it even if I pay.

The work around would be to make the LAN IP's static. I told her that is unacceptalbe I need DHCP to work for my wireless devices. The CSR told me my only other option would be to buy a new device at a retail store , her system will not let her send me a new device unless she exhuasts all options :angered:

Never thought I would say thie but I'm about ready to cave in and go with Comcast DV :eek:
