They (Vonage) are very good at saying anything to keep you from cancelling your service over LNP issues.

I have had 3 different tickets opened up and they have always sent me a canned email promising an update and then I never hear back from anyone.

Very lousy way to do business.

Vonage peeps can go on and on about "massive growth" and "you probably don't have your paperwork in" but the bottom line is that Vonage has confirmed on the phone that they have everything that they need from me since Feb 23rd and they still haven't gotten my number ported and it's now over 2 months.

I still fail to see how Comcast Cable can port a phone number in 72 hours without fail if you want to use them for phone service but Vonage takes months in many cases to complete a transfer.

My hunch is that Vonage plays the waiting game for a reason. It costs them $x per number xfer and they would much rather get you to take a new number than to have to pay to have your old number ported.

I'm sure that any Vonage employees or executives who need a number ported have it performed in a few days at most .

FCC might not regulate Vonage, but if 1000's of angry consumers complain to the FCC about this kind of crap that could very quickly change.
