P.S.: my transfer from MCI to Vonage was painless... around 10 business days total. Make sure you follow the process and do NOT call your current provider to cancel - let the process take its normal flow. You do get a virtual Vonage phone number from day 1 so you can call out, and receive calls on it to people you give it to in the interim.
