The BEEPING noise IS Vonage PROBLEM! I have had my same phone number for 15 years and have NEVER received one of those calls until I joined Vonage. I STRONGLY disagree. I believe Vonage is aware of the problem and just is not saying nothing about it. But it is a Vonage problem.
Why I say that? several reasons, one, it happened the SAME DAY I got my ata from Vonage, 2nd it has happened WAY too many times to be a "mistaken number"!! Also it tends to happen ONLY at night for me, NO telemarketers are allowed to call after a certian time (varies by state) I know because I was in collections for MANY of years! These calls occur in the MIDDLE of the night. Business's are closed and therfore do not fax in the middle of the night, so THIS IS A Vonage PROBLEM.
Anyone who replaces Vonage as their main phone line should really think twice! It is nice to have a "spare phone". Oh, also all of the calls are private CALLS. I have heard other people state this as well on this forum. When is Vonage going to take care of this?
