That is what my display said for about two weeks. There may be a way to tell by checking with your carrier but I am not sure.

When I ported from Verizon I was able to see the disconnect order on my account page on the Verizon site. The expected completion date of the disconnect ended up being the day my porting was completed (and matched the end of my Verizon billing cycle). It showed up on the Verizon site about a week before the porting occured.

I do not know if you have something similar where you can check account status (and service change orders) online or not. You may be able to call them to see if they have received the LNP request and what the status of that is.

I know that the first time I tried to port a number from Verizon the Vonage page also told me "loa sent to carrier" and stayed that way for over a month. In reality the LOA and request was never sent to Verizon at all. They (vonage or the contracter that does LNP requests for them) saw that my line was an FX line and never even made the request... but that is another story.

Thats what I wonder about. Qwest shows no orders pending. And I had to contact vonage
