I might have dug up some useful info today - if the rep from AT&T is correct - there is a quote in the local newspaper for the rural community stating that AT&T will roll out DSL by mid 2008. If that is true, my problems will be solved. However, we all know how promises can go wrong. So if anyone still has contingency plans please let me know. I'll keep that dry loop / naked DSL in mind - I read something about that sort of thing yesterday (although the article was a bit over my head - they talked about lines that are intended for security systems being turned into DSL lines - which sounds like what you're suggesting). Ideas are always welcome. Thanks!
