I am using the Linksys RT31P2 Device Firmware version 1.27.01

The cable is routed via the Comcast RCA modem, to the Linksys which currently has two pcs attached.

As far as the Ip goes, Comcast told me not to set it for static due to occasional changes, Vonage told me to set it to a static Ip and that Comcast was incorrect in saying it should be set for "obtain automatically".

The DMZ setting (under app and gaming) was set to enable and contained my current ip from comcast (which will change any day by the way...).

So that bit of advice from Vonage was incorrect due to Comcast not assigning "static" IP addresses in the first place.

I have also since disabled DMZ for that reason.

So per to Micheals last post, the ip under setup is now set to "obtain automatically".

Regretfully, this has not worked, and my Diablo 2 hosted games cannot be joined by anyone.

I believe the issue may reside in a proper setting of the port range forwarding tab, (port triggering) but I do not know what these settings could be?

Also, as a test, I just removed the Linksys from the loop and connected my pc directly to the comcast modem, and poof, my friends were able to join me in a game.

But this was not the reason I subscribed to Vonage, was it?

Any Ideas?
