Vonage Temporary Internet files clutter the cache and slows CPU productivity. Cookies

Temporary Internet files clutter the cache and slows CPU productivity. Cookies often have attached spyware that eats CPU time until your system crashes. Web designers may alter your browser settings rather than write a complicated string in HTML. If you clean out the trash regularly and reset your Browsers' Internet settings to the default, you will discover fewer program difficulties, increased CPU productivity, and decreased latency with your Vonage service. Remove Temporary Internet Files (Cache): 1. Open the Internet Explorer. 2. Click Tools -> Options. 3. Click General Tab. 4. Click Delete Files in the Temporary Internet files' section. 5. Make sure Delete all Offline Content is checked and click OK. 6. Click on Delete Cookies and click OK. 7. Click OK. Remove Temporary Files: 1. Click on Start then Run. 2. Enter the following text into the Run window: %temp% 3. Click OK. 4. Delete all the files listed in the Resultant Window. 5. You may do so by ->Goto Edit->Choose Select All. 6. Press the Delete Key on the Keyboard. 7. Press Yes. Configure Your Browser Security Settings: 1. Close any open Internet browser windows. 2. From the taskbar, click Start, then Run. Enter: inetcpl.cpl Note: Windows 98 users must click Start, Settings, Control Panel, and Double-click the Internet Options. 3. Click OK. 4. Click the General tab. 5. Click Settings in the 'Temporary Internet files' section. The Settings window appears. Under 'check for newer versions of stored pages', select: Automatically. 6. Click OK. 7. Click on the Security tab. 8. Click on the Internet content zone. 9. Click Default level. 10. Click Apply. 11. Click on the Programs tab. 12. Check the option default browser check option. If available, click Apply. 13. Click on the Advanced tab. 14. Click Restore Defaults. 15. Click Apply. 16. Click OK. Check if Internet Explorer is the default Internet browser. 1. Open the Internet Explorer. 2. Click Tools -> Options. 3. Click the Programs tab. 4. Make sure that, "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser" is checked. 5. Click OK. ActiveX Settings: 1. Open the Internet Explorer. 2. Click Tools -> Options. 3. Click the Security tab, and then click Custom Level. 4. Make sure the custom settings are set to medium. Click the Reset button. 5. Click Yes to confirm the change. 6. Select Prompt for these ActiveX controls and plug-ins options: - Download unsigned ActiveX controls - Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe 7. When you are done, click OK, and then click Yes to confirm the changes. 8. Click OK. 9. Exit Internet Explorer. If you suspect that your script engine is not up to date, you can download the latest script engine. For Windows 95, 98, ME, NT: http://www.download.micrsoft.com/download/4/c/9/4c9e63f1-617f-4c6d-8faf-c2868f670c1c/scr56en.exe For Windows 2000 or XP: http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/8/a/28a5a346-1be1-4049-b554-3bc5f3174353/scripten.exe After updating the scrip engine, you must restart your computer.
