Sorry to keep beating a dead horse about this, but I really would like to confirm that I can use Remote Call Forwarding Service from Verizon with Vonage before I order it for my business and port my business line over to Vonage.
Will this service work with Vonage?
Does anyone actually use remote call forwarding with Vonage?
If someone works at Vonage, can you confirm that you're an employee if you reply so I can tell a guess from confirmation?



Here are the types of lines listed on the Verizon website that Remote Call Forwarding works with:


There are a number of different types of phone lines you can forward your calls to using Remote Call Forwarding, including:


Local or Long Distance telephone number
Individual Business Service
Business Line associated with 1-800
Centrex Service
PBX Exchange Service
800 Service
Foreign Exchange Service
Telephone Answering Service
Cellular Service
Canadian telephone number

Here are some restrictions that Verizon lists:


The following restrictions may apply to Remote Call Forwarding service in your area.


Remote Call Forwarding paths may be used singly, in groups, or as overflow paths for Foreign Exchange service. Only one forwarding number is permitted per group.


Remote Call Forwarding is not offered where the terminating number is a coin telephone, other Remote Call Forwarding numbers, or any international telephone numbers with the exception of Canadian numbers.


Identification of the originating telephone number is not provided to the Remote Call Forwarding customer.


Transmission may not be satisfactory on all calls.


Remote Call Forwarding is not represented as suitable for the transmission of data.


Remote Call Forwarding is provided on the condition that the customer subscribe to sufficient Remote Call Forwarding paths and terminating facilities to adequately handle calls to the Remote Call Forwarding customer without interfering with or impairing any other services offered by Verizon.


Vacation service for Remote Call Forwarding is not available.


The minimum charge for the Remote Call Forwarding service is the monthly rate for one month plus the Non-recurring Charge.


Charges for the call to the Remote Call Forwarding number shall be paid by the calling party.


For every Remote Call Forwarding number you establish with the Verizon region, you will receive a directory listing for the Remote Call Forwarding phone number's regional calling area. Overflow paths associated with foreign exchange trunk groups are not listed. All other listing regulations for business individual lines apply.
