Sorry I forgot to do this at first: 1. Orange County, CA 2. Cox Cable Preferred 3. 7MB/512 4. Motorola SB5101 5. vt1005v 6. See below...right now Modem - Router - Vonage 7. Dropped service 8. This test was run by a PC connected directly to the router and not to the Vonage. In fact, now that I've posted, my Vonage won't come back online and I'll probably have to cycle everything. My Results Download 5,157,664 bps Upload 519,656 bps QOS 81% RTT 80 ms MaxPause 73 ms I'll try to make this as brief as possible. I've been a Vonage customer for over 3 years and since my most recent move my service has been so maddening that I'm not sure how much longer I can take it. Previously, my setup was this: Timewarner RoadRunner Cable Modem - Vonage Motorola vt1005v ATA - D-Link DI-524 This worked pretty well, and when the service would go out (more often than I'd like), I would unplug the vt1005v, wait 15-20 seconds, plug it back in and go. Since my move I am now with Cox. My setup WAS this: Cox Motorola SB5101 - vt1005v - DI-524 But I was having problems with dropped service, call quality, etc. I decided to buy a new router with QoS, etc. I bought the D-Link DIR-625 and it was worthless, I couldn't ever get it to work. So I purchased a Linksys WRT54GS. I currently have it setup, and would like to keep it, like this: Motorola SB5101 - WRT54GS - vt1005v I did that so I could use the QoS features, port forwarding is easier, etc. The QoS won't do me much good if the vt1005v is in front of the router, will it? Well, this setup has been fantastic for internet. I think mostly due to the router, but my speeds are great. I have setup the Vonage to get highest priority QoS both with MAC address and based on the port it's plugged into on the router. I have also tried setting a static IP for the Vonage and forwarding ports 5061 and 10000-20000 (read that somewhere else). Now, every call is dropped after about 30 seconds, which also resets my Cox cable modem and basically drives me insane. I have spent hours searching for a solution and trying different ones, but nothing works correctly. I haven't called Vonage because my previous attempts at that are long-lasting and unsatisfying. Please, someone, help
