I don't think that's valid. I think MOST people who are so-called "complaining" here sincerely want Vonage to work or else they wouldn't be here. I know I do.

The third option is work with Vonage or even pressure them if necessary to get issues resolved.

It would have been easy to plug in the adapter they sent me and just give up when it wasn't working. But then guys who do that get criticized here, don't they? You always tell them they should have given Vonage a chance, and I agree.

But the flip side to that is folks who have been through the ringer with Vonage, and what do you guys do? You belittle them, tell them they must not be technical enough to deal with issues, and if they can't handle it then "stop complaining and go back to POTS."

Kind of feels like "damned if you do, damned if you don't."

For two months, I've been trying to get my Vonage service to perform as flawlessly as it supposedly does for you or kenn10 or MikemmVA. I've spend untold hours on the phone with Vonage, days running Ping Plotter (hoping to be able to blame my ISP, to no avail), exchanging bad routers, having techs tweak the settings on my adapter, even buying expensive new phones and none of it gives me consistent results. For a few days things work great, and then the issues are back. They can't even tell me what my QoS setting should be on the router they provided me. "Try 384, try 512, try 1024, try 90, try default" are all answers I've been given. Vonage doesn't even know what it should be, and I always get the impression that whoever I happen to finally get on their support line is just "trying something" and grasping at straws.

I'm glad you've never looked back or that some people haven't experienced the hardships that others have. And this is your forum, of course, and if you don't want problems discussed here then you can do as you please.

But I just don't think it's fair or cool to imply that people with issues must somehow be at fault, or that customers don't have the right to expect better from Vonage.

If Vonage just can't meet my needs, obviously I'll move on. But Vonage claims that they can, so I expect Vonage to resolve them, and I'm still willing to give them that chance.
