So I purchased a NEW vonage D-Link router at Best Buy. I live overseas, so I've used vonage as my VoIP service for a few years now. The router was a D-Link VWR-VD. Upon arriving at my home, and installing the router, I was unable to activate it. MAC address invalid. I spent 35 minutes on a long distance call with a customer service representative at VONAGE who claimed that this has never happened before (a quick google search shows that this is not true). At the end, he asked me for the phone number of the BEST BUY store where I bought the equipment, claiming it was their fault. He promised to call me in 48 hours with the solution. He never called, of course. I live overseas, so I can't just take my router back to the store, and demand a refund. Customer service doesn't seem to know. I've emailed technical support and am waiting for their response (hopefully they know more than customer service.)
ANY IDEAS?

• Technical support was able to fix the problem. Don't have a clue what they did.
• I suspect that they somehow verified that it was a new, legitimate Vonage enabled
