Vonage Since I have not been on the forums in quite a while, this may have somehting to do
Since I have not been on the forums in quite a while, this may have somehting to do with it, or not....
When I got Vonage, I got the Motorola VT, and after screwing around for a while trying out different configurations (The VT also acts as a router with one lan and one wan port). I read a few threads on here, and what I had to do was hook the VT up to my PC directly, set it's IP to one that worked with the rest of my network, along with DNS from my ISP, and it's gateway (which is a 4 port Linksys).
Then connect the VT back up to the Linksys 4 port, and log into the Linksys and forward the ports to the IP of the VT.
Now, you can not log back into the VT unless you connect it back up to my pc and make specific changes to the PC's IP and subnet.
Man, it has been almost a year, are you confused??? I know I am, how the hell did I do that? I will have to write it down once I find that thread again....
*I remembered that that even though the VT has two ethernet ports, I hooked up only one to the Linksys, which was the WAN port...*
