Saw this in the archive and the board won't let me reply because the post is older than 60 days. So I am starting a new thread in response to this post in the old thread.

Ok so here is the deal. The voltage in Thailand is 220v at 50hz(?) but if you have a Linksys PAP2 the adapter that comes with it should be universal and should say right on it that it can work from 100v-240v 50-60hz I believe.
Most outlets in Thailand are also Euro/North America so they can take the US dual vertical slot type plugs as well as the Euro dual round hole type plugs.
So you should not need a physical or voltage converter. As far as call quality. It was a bit spotty during peak times in the day but everyone in North America is sleeping then anyways. During the evenings is was ok. The internet backbone is weak in Thailand because there is only the one which is still state owned and we all know how monopolies work or don't work as the case may be. The capacity is not great and there are outages. As the internet becomes more and more important people are complaining more and more in Thailand and things seem to be slowly improving.
We did managed to conduct our evening business meetings over Vonage to N. America just fine so you should be ok.
