Vonage One thing that I have done in the meantime is set up a second access point in my house

One thing that I have done in the meantime is set up a second access point in my house that runs with a totallly different SSID, but the same security(WPAv1) and passphrase. Since I have it dedicated to my phone, I have locked the rate to 802.11b only instead of mixed. So far, all looks like it is running well.

I did have a workaround for the problem of being stuck on registering by going back through WiFi Config, selecting my saved SSID, and selecting Activate again. This fixed the hangup every time.

I am an IT professional (CCNA certified) and do this for a living (but I don't claim to know everything :-)), so I have a pretty good idea of the different variables that are involved. I had initially suspected that the registering hangup was due to a delay in receiving an IP address, but I can't confirm it without better logging on the phone.

I do have QoS setup on my network and making phone calls from multiple lines has never been a problem, so it's safe to say that my problem hasn't been a bandwidth, latency, or QoS problem. I have a 10Mb/1Mb connection, so I'm good there. My WAP is the Linksys WAP54G, so Netgear doesn't apply there. I also have low volume on my handset as well but I have had great service when it is connected to my WAP.

The problem is very intermittent as it can work fine for several hours and then hangup every minute for a period of time. I think I'm just going to go with the second WAP with a separate SSID for a solution for now. Let me know if you find out anything else

F1000 Spontaneously De-Registers

First, I LIKE the F1000 so far. I have just begun using it internationally with
There have been reports of the "unlocked" F1000 losing connection to some WPA
Thanks for the reply. The F1000 ISN'T losing connection to the AP. So I'm disinclined
I have the exact same problem that you have had. I have only noticed the problem
Well, further use indicates that the POWER seems unrelated to the de-registration.
