Vonage On inbound calls, there are all sorts of things that can cause the call to ring once

On inbound calls, there are all sorts of things that can cause the call to ring once on your call-forwarded phone but not reach your Vonage phone. 1. Not enough circuits in your legacy telco C.O. to the next tandem towards Vonage. 2. Not enough circuits from that tandem to Vonage. 3. Internet glitches: do you have a network unavailability number set, and if so, are calls going to that? The third problem is especially hard to diagnose. I've watched the packets sometimes, and I have actually seen a call arrive from Vonage, and the response go back, but apparently not reach Vonage, so Vonage thinks the call never reached me, and off it goes to the Network unavailability number. Where did that response packet get lost? Who knows. UDP is a protocol that does not do retries, and if Vonage's SIP servers don't do the retries, a dropped SIP acknowledgement packet can kill the call. That could be the fault of an overloaded LAN in your house, the circuit between your house and your ISP, your ISP's routers, backbone network routers, Vonage's routers, Vonage's SIP servers, etc. Hard to say whose problem it is.

Circuits Busy

Had vonage for several weeks. Once every day or two I get circuits busy (fast busy)

I'm not the first to bring this up on the forum. The calls in question are all
