Vonage Ok guys, I have Vonage service currently. While re-arranging my desk I happened
Ok guys, I have Vonage service currently. While re-arranging my desk I happened to forget which adapter went to what device, needles to say I plugged a 9V DC adapter into the 12V AV PAP2 device, while I didnt think anything of it, I thought it was odd that it wasnt lighting up. I continued to do what I was doing for about 5 minutes and smelt this burning smell, first though, damn adapter lol. While I didnt think a 9V adapter would burn up a 12V device, im guessing it was the DC instead of AC that did it.
Anyway, seeing as though I bought my current PAP2 at BB I plan on going back and buying another, first question would you recommend the PAP2 behind a Microsoft MN-100, or just getting the RT31P2?
Secondly, since the mac would be different and I dont have a land line anymore, is there anyway I could use the NEW mac address on my current plan? I really dont want to have to call Vonage to do it, since none of them (at least that I have talked to) speak english.
Also, this is unrelated but, when calling and USUALLY its just ordering pizza, from two different places, Dominos, and then a local mom and pop shop there is "stuttering" on the line or something, I can hear them fine, but I must cut out to them or something since they always say "What was that?". I hasnt happened yet to any other calls though, my bandwidth is more than enough 6mb/512kb (adelphia, ne pa) and my bandwidth setting is 50kbps I would love for there to be a option for even higher :).
Anyway does anyone have any comments/suggestions on my issues? hehe
