Vonage Ok - I'm thinking of taking the Vonage plunge - a couple of quick questions; 1)

Ok - I'm thinking of taking the Vonage plunge - a couple of quick questions;

1) I called Vonage customer service, and noticed the connection was half-duplex (her side muted when I talked, and vice-versa) - is that what a Vonage connection sounds like?

2) My main phone line (i ran all the wires) has 9 extensions, I understand I need to disconnect it from Telco (no problem, I have an inside telco POP box), but will the Vonage box have any problem driving ring voltage to 9 phones of varying age, some with mechanical ringers?

3) How does Vonage define "regional" in "unlimited regional"?

4) I can't switch my home phone #s to Vonage, nor am I at liberty to change them. But I can add Vonage as a third line and reduce one (or both) of my incoming lines to minimal service, and even forward them to my Vonage lines. But I'm undecided as to how to integrate Vonage into my current situation:

Main line: Used mostly for incoming calls, but some outgoing.
2nd line: Used for incoming faxes, and the bulk of the outgoing calls.
Right now I have a 'freedom (unlimited local and LD) package on both lines, at $70/mo. (For various reasons we have a lot of phone traffic in our house).

I could
a) get Vonage, use it as my "main line", and cut my existing Main line to minimal incoming service + call forward, and forward to the Vonage line. (and don't hook the main line to any extensions)
Cost: $14.99 +$1.50 (vonage) + $30/mo (1st line). Savings = $35/mo

b) get Vonage, use it as my 2nd line, direct wire my 2nd landline ONLY to the fax machine. Cut the service on my 2nd line to incoming only. I don't think 500 min will be sufficient to replace my main outcall line, so I upgraded the Vonage cost
Cost: $24.99 + $1.50 (vonage) + $21 (landline) Savings = $35/mo

Hmmm - Could I get <two> Vonage lines and save $35 on each phone line, (and use call hunt). Do they charge extra for this?

But maybe this is all too complicated - that's why I'm posting- anyone else have suggestions, Ideas, etc?

Thanks!
/j
