Vonage Ok I have read several posts on this but am still not clear whether I should get Softphone,
Ok I have read several posts on this but am still not clear whether I should get Softphone, V-Phone or Vonage Talk alpha so I thought I would try to explain my exact situation and see what advice I get.
My wife has just accepted a position for a company which is headquartered some 130 miles from our home. For the first year in this position (while she is building her team and defining the role) she is required to work at the headquarters. After that year she will be able to set up an office locally here in the town we live in. To make this possible she has rented an apartment in the town where the company is headquartered.
In addition to her job my wife is also finishing her Masters degree online via University of Phoenix. This is important because she is often teamed with classmates for group projects. These classmates are scattered throughout the country. Obviously while working together with these classmates phone conversations are frequent and long.
So there is the situation, now here is how I would like to be able to solve it. I would like for her to have the ability to answer and make calls from her apartment using our existing home Vonage number. Using our existing Vonage number is required because this is the number all of her teammates (in the Masters program) have. However, I will still be staying at our home and will need to maintain the ability to use the Vonage service there.
So the ideal solution will be one where our single Vonage phone number will ring at both locations (home and her apartment) and can be answered at either place. Further we will both need to be able to make calls (possibly at the same time) from that same Vonage number. For her end an actual phone would be nice but she will be fine if she has to use her laptop for her phone.
If anyone can help me to find and understand the solution, and how to implement it, I would greatly appreciate it.
